Introduction to Gram Sabha

๐ŸŽฏ What is Gram Sabha?

Gram Sabha is a constitutional institution established under the 73rd Amendment of the Indian Constitution. It is a group of all adult population (above 18 years) of the village that participates in local self-governance.

๐Ÿ“œ Constitutional Basis

Gram Sabha is constituted under Article 243A of the Indian Constitution. It is the foundation of the Panchayati Raj system and is called the 'cornerstone of Indian democracy.'
